I'm Kjetil. 15+ years across cloud strategy, platform engineering, and delivery — built on the conviction that good architecture means nothing if the people using it have to fight it.
Most of that time was at Intility, where I grew from technician to cloud architect. In the Cloud Center of Excellence I held platform ownership for Intility Landing Zone and Managed Azure, the standardized multi-tenant core behind 100+ customer environments. I also served as tech lead and platform owner for the observability platform, and as a technical account manager for some of Intility's most demanding customers.
I'm now a senior consultant at Teleplan Consulting, the advisory and digitalization arm of the Teleplan Group — founded as a telecommunications consultancy by military officers in 1959, today serving Norway's defense sector, public institutions, and critical infrastructure. My work covers cloud strategy and platform delivery, from early roadmap to production.
The conviction I keep coming back to: what separates a platform that works from one that doesn't isn't the tech stack — it's whether the right way is also the easy way. Self-service with guardrails beats gatekeepers every time. That's the thread through most of what I write here.
